Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Foundation donates $10M to TheDream.US

Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Foundation will donate 10 million dollars to TheDream.US, which awards college scholarships to immigrant youth’s. The gift was made possible by Ackman’s bet against Herbalife Ltd.

According to Reuters, Ackman accused Herbalife stock of running a pyramid scheme two years ago. Spending 50 million of his own funds against Herbalife, the Pershing Square Foundation manager has vowed to pursue it "to the end of the earth."

As reported earlier, Pershing Square Capital notably gained approximately $2.5 billion from its successful activist bet on Allergan Inc, the most profitable activist deal of 2014.
