BlueGold Capital returns 12.5% in March

| Energy hedge fund manager BlueGold Capital Management returned 12.5% over the month of March and a 1.5% return for the first quarter of 2010. According to a Bloomberg article citing a Hedge Fund Research Inc. study, returns for hedge funds averaged 2.7% for the month of March. The fund also achieved a 55% return over 2009 and has recorded a 380% return since inception. BlueGold Capital was founded by Chief Executive Officer Dennis Crema and Chief Investment Officer Pierre Andurand in February 2008. Prior to founding BlueGold, Mr. Crema and Mr. Andurand were oil traders at Vitol Group and Goldman Sachs’ J. Aron & Co, respectively. | ||
