Brennus Asset Management has announced the launch of its flagship hedge fund, the Brennus Convertible Fund with $30 million in assets under management. Brennus was founded late last year by Jean Fau and Demot Keane. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Fau was at Susquehanna where he managed the firm’s EMEA credit and convertible arbitrage portfolio, while Mr. Keane led hedge fund manager Plexus Partners.

According to Hedge Funds Review, Brennus Asset Management’s new hedge fund will focus on convertible bonds in European and Asian markets. The hedge fund launched with assets from its partners and is expected to open up to outside investors later in 2010.

Earlier in their careers, Mr. Fau and Mr. Keane worked together at Goldman Sachs.
