Brevan Howard Spins off Traders to Manage New Funds

Brevan Howard announced their plan to spin off a group of credit and currency traders to manage two new funds, according to Bloomberg.

The first fund, Brevan Howard Macro FX, is registered in Luxembourg and will be managed by Luke Ding, currently a foreign exchange trader for the Brevan Howard master fund.

The second announced fund, Brevan Howard Credit Catalysts Master Fund, will be managed by former Morgan Stanley credit trading chief David Warren and his 16-member team based in New York. The fund will invest in corporate and high-yield bonds as well as residential and commercial mortgage-backed debt.

Brevan Howard is a global hedge fund manager based in the London that was founded in 2002 by former members of the Credit Suisse First Boston Developed Market Rates trading team led by Alan Howard, former head of interest- rate derivative trading at CSFB.
