Cheyne Capital Buying Into Fund of Funds Business

| Reuters reported that Cheyne Capital Management is in the process of buying UK-based fund of hedge funds manager AltEdge Capital. Upon closure, Altedge’s CEO Chris Goekjian will become a partner and chief investment officer at Cheyne. Prior to launching AltEdge, Mr. Goekjian spent 10 years at Credit Suisse First Boston. From 1999 to 2000, he headed CSFB’s Global Fixed Income and Derivatives Division and was a member of CSFB’s Executive Board. Before CSFB, he was a Managing Director at Bankers Trust Company. | ||
