Children’s Investment Fund Bolsters Management Team

The Children’s Investment Fund (TCI) has reportedly bolstered its portfolio management team by hiring Masroor Siddiqui. The news comes following a series of high level departures from the activist hedge fund manager.

According to Reuters, Mr. Siddiqui joined TCI in April after leaving Canyon Capital Advisors. Mr. Siddiqui had opened Canyon’s London offices in late 2006 and had served as the multi-strategy hedge fund’s CEO of European operations. Prior to Canyon, he was at Putnam Investments where he served as an equity analyst with management responsibilities for the Putnam Utilities Growth and Income Fund. Previously, he was also an equity analyst at Jefferies & Company and Goldman Sachs & Co.
