Connective Capital’s Short Strategy Gains 85%, Faces Redemptions

| Connective Capital’s Short Strategy has achieved an 85% gain this year, while over the same period, its benchmark NASDAQ Index has posted a 42% loss. Despite the strategy’s remarkable performance, investors have submitted redemption requests for approximately 20% of the strategy’s assets. According to a Reuters article, the redemption requests are mostly from investors and fund-of-funds that are in need of cash. Connective Capital Management, LLC is an equity hedge fund manager that focuses on the technology and alternative energy sectors.
