Ex-DKR Oasis Analysts Announce Instinct Capital
| July 21st, 2009 | ||
| Two former DKR Oasis Management analysts, Frederic Eechaute and Stephen Good, have announced plans to launch a Japan-focused equity hedge fund, according to Bloomberg. The market neutral fund will be based out of Tokyo and Sydney and could begin trading as early as September. Mr. Eechaute plans on managing the fund by utilizing a proprietary database of analysts that he’s built over the last 10 years that will allow him access to trading ideas. The fund will hold around 20 stocks at any given time and hedge its long positions by shorting index futures. Mr. Eechaute left DKR Oasis in December after the firm suffered well above average losses during 2008. Prior to his time at DKR Oasis, Mr. Eechaute was with Mizuho Securities. | ||
