Flintlock Commodity Opportunity Partners to be launched by Ex-Tudor PM Steve Matthews

Ex-Tudor head of commodities research and fund manager Steve Matthews plans to start his own hedge fund, Flintlock Commodity Opportunity Partners. According to the Bloomberg article, Flintlock will start trading in January 2010. Drawing from a strong track record of 12 years at Tudor with returns above 20% for the last two years, Mr. Matthews plans on capturing the re-emerging appetite for risk in the commodities sector.

Flintlock’s team includes Senior Partner Peter M. Dawkins, formerly of ShiningStar Capital and Chief Operating Officer David J. Walker, formerly of Tower Capital Asset Management.
