Ex-Lehman Brothers credit trader Assan Din announced that he will be starting a hedge fund that will trade Asian corporate bonds, derivatives, convertible debt, and credit indexes, according to Bloomberg. The hedge fund, which will be called SaKa Capital, is slated to launch in September of this year with $25 to $50 million in assets.

Mr. Din joined Lehman as a credit derivatives trader in 1997. He was head of European and Asian operations for Lehman’s principal strategies group at the time of his departure. He then helped setup R3 Capital Management, a hedge fund which was spun out of Lehman in 2008. Mr. Din left R3 in April of this year to launch his own firm.
