| Alfredo Mattera and Ian Burgess, both former heads of credit operations at Polygon Investment Partners, are preparing a European distressed and special situations hedge fund, according to the Financial News. Due to launch its first fund by August 2010, the new firm is called Warwick Capital Partners and has already received $100 million in seed money from American firm Cyan Management Group. Warwick Capital has also hired Matthew Coleman, formerly of James Caird Asset Management, to be chief operating officer. Mr. Mattera and Mr. Burgess both left Polygon in 2009, after the firm took major losses due to the credit crunch. | ||
