Fuchs Finalizing “Soft Activist” Fund

The financial times reported that Mark Fuchs is in the process of launching Asia-focused long/short equity hedge fund. The fund will focus on blue-chip, large-capitalized south-east Asian stocks and will an employ a “soft activist” approach to its investments. As quoted in the article, Mr. Fuch’s described this approach as ““making gentle suggestions that would release value” in countries or to companies “where we have the ear of the management or the regulator.””

Mr. Fuchs is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Singapore-based Fuchs Capital Partners. Prior to founding his firm, he was head of equities at Credit Suisse for south-east Asia.
