GLG veteran James Berger preps B1 Capital hedge fund for launch

James Berger has formed B1 Capital, a fundamental long/short equity hedge fund firm that will focus its investments in European stocks. Berger was previously the co-portfolio manager for GLG Partner’s European Opportunity Fund. He joined GLG in 2007, following stints at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.

The Switzerland-based B1 Capital is reportedly planning to launch during the summer of 2013. In preparation of launch, James Berger has hired industry veteran Megan Kenney from Credit Suisse as the firm’s CEO.
