Gartmore Launches UK Absolute Return Fund

| Gartmore launched the Gartmore UK Absolute Return Fund for retail investors yesterday. The Fund aims to achieve a positive absolute return over the long-term regardless of market conditions by investing long/short in UK equities. The fund is managed by Ben Wallace who is responsible for managing all of the firm’s UK absolute return strategies. Mr. Wallace joined Gartmore in October 2002 as a Senior Investment Manager. Prior to joining Gartmore, Ben worked at Deutsche Asset Management, where he managed UK equity funds from 1997-2002. Gartmore is a multi-product asset management firm that provides investment management products and services to retail and institutional investors. As 12/31/08, the firm had approximately $27bn in assets under management. | ||
