Geffen Trying to Buy Harbinger Out of NY Times

| The Financial Times reported today that David Geffen has been in discussions to purchase Harbinger Capital’s 19.8% stake in the New York Times Company (NYT). Mr. Geffen is a co-founder of DreamWorks SKG and a former record executive. Rumors have also swirled that Google is interested in purchasing the ownership stake from the activist hedge fund manager. | ||
