In this week’s hedge fund job report, we look at recent moves made by GoldenTree Asset Management LLC, Tudor Investment Corporation, RAB Capital and the Matrix Group. RAB Capital and Tudor Investment Corp made several senior additions to their investment teams, while the Matrix Group appointed a new COO and GoldenTree made additions to both the investment and marketing sides of its business.
First up is Steve Tananbaum’s GoldenTree Asset Management LLC, which has made a number of senior additions. On the investment side, the firm has hired Amit Senapaty as a portfolio manager. Senapaty reports to Joe Naggar and focuses on trading within the RMBS market as the firm looks to grow its structured products business. Prior to GoldenTree, he was with BlackRock where he was a portfolio manager focusing on mortgage assets. Before BlackRock, Senapaty spent 7 years as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns Asset Management (BSAM), managing ABS, MBS and CMBS portfolios.
To bolster its marketing efforts, GoldenTree has hired Bob Sherman and Ted Roosevelt. Mr. Sherman joined the firm in October as a partner with responsibility for Marketing and Client Development. In his new role, Sherman focuses primarily on expanding GoldenTree’s institutional franchise. He joined the firm from Seix Investment Advisors, a $25 billion fixed income focused asset manager, where he spent fourteen years, most recently as the firm’s CEO. Ted Roosevelt joins GoldenTree as a director of marketing. Prior GoldenTree, Ted was a Senior Vice President in High Yield Sales at Barclays Capital where he covered hedge funds and money managers with a focus on high yield and investment grade credit derivative swaps, and other products. Before Barclays, Roosevelt was an analyst in Lehman Brothers’ High Yield and Distressed Research group.
