JPMorgan to Acquire the Rest of Highbridge Capital

| Highbridge Capital Management announced today that its founders had agreed to sell their remaining stakes in the hedge fund manager to JPMorgan Chase (JPM). JPMorgan has been a majority owner of the $20 billion firm since 2004. According to an article from the New York Times DealBook, the acquisition will be completed as of July 1st. Highbridge Capital Management is a New York-based, multi-strategy hedge fund manager founded in 1992 by Henry Swieca and Glenn Dubin. Mr. Swieca is expected to leave at the Highbridge at end of this year, while Mr. Dubin will continue to serve as the firm’s CEO. | ||
