Metals fund manager Mark Thompson to leave Apollo Management in June

| Mark Thompson, the manager of Apollo Management LP’s metals hedge fund in London, has announced his departure from the firm, effective June of 2010. Mr. Thompson joined Apollo in 2008 after serving as Chief Investment Officer at Galena Asset Management. He has run the Apollo Metals Trading Fund, which trades precious and industrial metals and mining equities, since it was launched in March of 2009 with $40 million from Apollo. | ||
