Och-Ziff veteran Frank Yu launches Themes Investment Management

Frank Yu, a veteran of Och-Ziff Capital Management, has launched Themes Investment Partners, a new private equity firm that will concentrate on investment opportunities in China. According to an article from the Wall Street Journal, Frank Yu was previously a managing director at Och-Ziff Capital, and before that was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, where he was an investment banker specializing in Chinese banks.

Themes Investment is currently seeking to raise $500 million for its flagship fund and has already completed the first round of fundraising; deal-making will begin in the next few months.
