Olivant pressures UBS
| May 25th, 2008 |
|
| UBS investors are pushing for a separation of their wealth management
business and their lagging investment banking arm. Most notably is
Olivant Advisers which was founded by former UBS president Luqman
Arnold. Some analysts estimate UBS is trading at a 25 percent discount
because the value of its wealth management unit is diluted by the
troubled investment banking division. UBS continues to state that the
investment banking and wealth management arms compliment each other
and that it does not make sense to separate the company. |
