Paulson & Co. Buying up Citigroup Shares

| John Paulson’s hedge fund firm, Paulson & Co, has been reportedly buying up shares of Citigroup (NYSE: C). According to the New York Post, unnamed sources claim that the hedge fund may have accumulated a 2% stake in the troubled bank. Mr. Paulson founded Paulson & Co. in 1994 and currently serves as the firm’s President and senior fund manager. The firm gained acclaimed for its early bet against the subprime loan market, which ultimately earned the Paulson & Co. more than $3 billion dollars. | ||
