Permian Investment Partners’ Cara Goldenberg dines with Warren Buffett

| After hedge fund manager Cara Goldenberg sent stock research to Warren Buffett last November, he invited her and business partner Alex Duran to visit him in Nebraska for dinner. According to BusinessWeek, Ms. Goldenberg’s firm, Permian Investment Partners, focuses its strategies on seriously undervalued companies in Western Europe. The research that inspired Mr. Buffett’s interest included reasons why Permian had chosen the top ten stocks in the portfolio. Permian Investment Partners was founded in 2008 by Ms. Goldenberg and two other colleagues and follows a long/short equity strategy with a focus on deep value opportunities. | ||
