Petrella and Siminerio’s Pineview Asset Management prepares for launch of Technology, Media & Telecom Hedge Fund

Hedge fund veterans Larry Petrella and Michael Siminerio are gearing up for the launch of their recently founded firm’s first hedge fund. Pineview Asset Management’s long/short hedge fund is aiming for a second quarter launch with a projected 100 million+ in assets under management.

The Greenwich, CT-based firm’s flagship hedge fund will focus its investments on opportunities in the Technology, Media & Telecom sectors. Prior to forming Pineview Asset Management, both Larry Petrella and Michael Siminerio were at Tudor Investment Corp. Prior to joining Tudor in 2005, Petrella was a partner at Diamondback Capital.

Notably, the top 50 Technology, Media and Telecom Hedge Funds now reportedly manage more than $74 billion in assets, as reported by HedgeTracker.
