As London-based hedge fund Polygon Investment Partners is winding down and returning cash to investors from its main multi-strategy fund, Global Opportunities Fund, which had $2.5-$3 billion at the end of last year, the firm is raising money for two new hedge funds. According to Reuters, Polygon recently launched the European Equity Opportunity Fund and the Convertible Opportunity Fund, seeking investments from outside clients as well as offering the new offering to investors in the Global Opportunities Fund.

With its two new funds, Polygon is moving away from a single multi-strategy fund and will focus on funds in specific strategies instead.

Polygon was founded in 2003 by Alexander Jackson and Reade Griffith. Mr. Griffith was previously the founder and CEO of Citadel Investment Group's European investment division.
