Emerging Manager Focus has announced that it is hosting a discussion on March 2nd entitled "Raising Assets in 2010: What emerging hedge funds and fund of hedge fund managers need to know to market their fund successfully."

As hedge funds continue to find new sources to generate alpha, there are still obstacles in place that impair their ability to raise capital. In 2010, most hedge funds will have the same agenda: finding new methods of generating alpha. The question is, what are the obstacles that emerging managers will have to navigate? Will increased government regulation cause emerging managers to change their strategies to be more short term oriented? How will the improvement of the due diligence process affect the manager selection process of smaller funds in 2010?
