SAC Capital launches Parameter Capital Management

SAC Capital Advisors has decided to launch another trading unit, Parameter Capital Management. According to Bloomberg, Anil Stevens and Glenn Shapiro will lead Parameter Capital, which will focus its investments in financial stocks.

Prior to being hired by SAC Capital founder Steven A. Cohen, Mr. Stevens and Mr. Shapiro worked at Dmitri Balyasny’s Balyasny Asset Management. Prior to that, the two had previously worked at another one of Steven Cohen’s trading units, Sigma Capital Mananagement

Beyond Parameter Capital and Sigma Capital, SAC Capital’s other trading affiliates include Stamford, CT-based CR Intrinsic Investors and London-based SAC Global Investors LLP.
