Santiago Rizzo preparing to launch TMT focused Outlier Capital hedge fund

Santiago Rizzo, a former portfolio manager at Straus Asset Management, has formed Outlier Capital. The hedge fund manager will employ a long/short equity investment strategy that focuses on small- and mid-cap companies in the technology, media and telecom sectors. Outlier Capital’s first hedge fund is scheduled to launch in early 2011.

Prior to founding Outlier Capital, Mr. Rizzo managed a similar strategy for Straus that delivered more than 30% to investors per year. Before Straus, Rizzo was an analyst for 2 years at TMT focused Intrepid Capital.
