In this Saturday’s HedgeTracker Fund Spotlight, we look at emerging hedge fund manager Union Avenue Advisors. The firm is an emerging markets focused hedge fund manager that was founded in 2008 by Principal Thomas R. Grossman. In March 2009, the firm announced that it was receiving long-term strategic capital and business-building support from SkyBridge Capital.

Union Avenue employs a disciplined trading approach of investing to capitalize on a constant flow of informational inefficiencies in international financial markets, with a specific focus on the Asian, Latin American and EAME (Europe/Africa/Middle East) equity markets.

From 2000 to 2008, founder Thomas Grossman ran Aeneas Capital Management where he employed the same investment strategy that is being followed at Union Advisors. From 1997 to 2000, he was the Director of all non-U.S. Trading SAC Capital.
