| March 16th, 2009 | ||
| The Children's Investment Fund (TCI) has reportedly been the largest foreign seller of Indian stocks in 2009 YTD. TCI’s stock sales represent approximately 10% of an estimated total of $20.8 billion of foreign stock sales in 2009. In 2008, TCI invested heavily in Indian companies, mostly financials, while at the same time most industry experts were turning bearish on the country. Now, it appears the fund is selling off positions at significant losses. TCI’s reputation as a top fund has been slipping recently. In 2008, its flagship fund was down over 40%. | ||
