TCI's Chris Hohn donates $788 Million to Charity

According to the Guardian, Chris Hohn donated over $788 million (£468m) last year to the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, a charity run by his wife Jamie Hohn. Mr. Hohn is the founder of the Children's Investment Fund Management (TCI), an activist hedge fund manager.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, co-founded by Hohn and his wife in 2002 to help children in developing countries, receives a portion of TCI’s profits each year and in accordance with US charity guidelines, invests about 5% of its assets in funds like TCI as well as others.

The latest donation brings the total amount donated from TCI to over 1,600 million.
