Timberland Investment Resources Launches Timber Fund

Timberland Investment Resources recently launched a timber-focused hedge fund in London. Named Timberland Investment Resources Europe, the flagship fund opened in response to expanding interests in the timber asset class, particularly its recent strong performance and its potential to diversify portfolios.

The hedge fund plans to invest in European, American, and Latin American timber on behalf of its European investors. Timberland Investment Resources Europe is currently led by managing partners Hugh Humfrey and Gian Paolo Potsios, both of whom previously worked at Arch Financial Products. Timberland Investment Resources was founded by CEO Mark T. Seaman in 2003.
