| After jumping ship in 2008 to join JP Morgan’s Highbridge Capital Management, Munib Islam returns to Third Point Partners, the $7.2 billion, peer-topping hedge fund headed by New York investor Daniel Loeb. Mr. Islam rejoins Third Point Management Company at a time when it is experiencing strong inflows and investment performance. He leaves Highbridge Capital Management at a time when it is still fighting to stem net outflows amidst uncertainty in its post-crisis strategy. Munib Islam was tapped by Daniel Loeb, a renowned activist investor, to head Third Point’s equity research department. | ||
