Top Goldman Hedge Fund Manager Starting Own Fund

Pierre-Henri Flamand, head of Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies, is leaving Goldman to start his own hedge fund, according to Bloomberg. Mr. Flamand is a fifteen year veteran of Goldman Sachs and ran Principal Strategies since 2007. Prior to that role, he was head of European Principal Strategies.

Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies is the firm’s proprietary multi-strategy investment arm, which engages in equity long/short, convertible arbitrage, volatility strategies, distressed and capital structure arbitrage, tactical trading and special situation/event-driven strategies.
