Philippe Gougenheim will join European asset manager, Unigestion as Managing Director, Head of Hedge Funds next month. Prior to joining Unigestion, Mr. Gougenheim served as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Strategic Research and Management at London-based Man Investments. Mr. Gougenheim has also held managerial positions at Millennium Capital Management, Société Générale and JP Morgan.
Patrick Fenal, CEO of Unigestion, expressed enthusiasm on the appointment of Mr. Gougenheim commenting that “Gougenheim brings enormous experienceto the role of Head of Hedge Funds and we are delighted he is joining Unigestion. He will add further momentum to the growth of our Funds of Hedge Funds business by ensuring our clients continue to receive a combination of products and service at the leading edge of the industry.”

Unigestion’s Fund of Hedge Funds Business has a successful track record and is comprised of an exclusive unit of trained professionals operating out of Geneva, London, New York, Paris, Guernsey and Singapore. Mr. Gougenheim’s leadership of the Business will allow CEO Patrick Fenal to “devote more time to the strategic management of the Group,” while remaining actively involved in the Fund of Hedge Funds Business. Across the asset management firm, Unigestion manages more than $10 billion in assets for institutional clients (86%) and high net worth families (14%). |
