Visium Asset Management completes acquisition of Catalyst Investment Management

| Visium Asset Management, a hedge fund founded in 2005 by Chief Investment Officer Jacob Gottlieb, has acquired Catalyst Investment Management, according to the Wall Street Journal. Catalyst Investment Management is a seven-person hedge fund focused on credit and event-driven strategies. Visium already manages multiple hedge funds including long/short equity, credit, and multi-strategy funds. Catalyst currently oversees $250 in assets under management in its two hedge funds, one credit and one event-driven, which will continue to be managed as separate entities within Visium’s expanded platform. | ||
