Brevan Howard Asset Management is a global hedge fund manager founded in 2002 by former members of the Credit Suisse First Boston Developed Market Rates trading team, led by Alan Howard, former head of interest-rate derivative trading at CSFB. In 2007, Swiss Reinsurance acquired a 15% stake in Brevan Howard. The firm also has two publicly traded feeder funds, BH Macro and BH Global, which invest their assets in the Brevan Howard Master, Equity Strategies Master, Asia Master, Emerging Markets Strategies Master and the Strategic Opportunities hedge funds. Brevan Howard is based in London with additional offices in New York, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Jersey, Washington, Bermuda, Tokyo, Mumbai and Dublin.
