Before founding MFP, Mr. Price made a name for himself an astute value investor with an extremely impressive track record at Max Heine's Mutual Series (Heine Securities). In 1988, Price took over as Chairman, President and lead portfolio manager of the Mutual Series. In 1996, he led the sale of the mutual fund management firm, which now operates Franklin Mutual Series fund, to Franklin Resources for $670 million.
