| New Trend Capital Management has launched its flagship hedge fund the New Trend US Equity Fund. The fund will follow a long/short strategy that will be “driven by an algorithm, removing the challenges of human biases,” according to its press release. The portfolio will have 30-50 active positions, and no single position will hold over 10% of the portfolio. The Trend US Equity hedge fund will be managed by co-CEO Steven Granot, former Director of US Equities at UBS and Vice President of US Equities at JP Morgan, and co-CEO Marc von Rohr, former Director of Asian Equities at UBS and proprietary trader for First New York Securities. New Trend Capital is owned and managed by New Trend Capital Partners, a firm that provides management and advisory services to investment managers, investment funds and individual investors. | ||
